Not worth the priceJul 09, 2007
By Laura I would give this 3 stars if the price were around $[...], because that's about what these were worth. Very time-consuming to fill up all the little dumbell chambers; the dumbells themselves were a little awkward to use since the weight is distributed differently from regular dumbells and these are also bulkier.
It's a great idea, and could be helpful if you're travelling to one place and staying there for a while, but it's too much trouble to empty and refill them if you're moving from place to place. Just do keep in mind that they're not going to match your regular workout.

Disappointed!Sep 06, 2008
By L. Griffith I recently purchased a set of Aquabells for weight training while we travel. We are often either flying or traveling in an RV. In either case, weight and size are big considerations.
Unfortunately, since I am not in shape to start with the full weight of completely filled units, I tried to add only a couple of pounds to each side to begin with. No matter how I adjusted the plugs, they would pop open after a few minutes and pour water all over the floor.
I called the company and they had no suggestions or help. I eventually had to pay the postage to return the 'Bells', since I had purchased them through Amazon.

Great exercise alternative for the travellerFeb 06, 2010
By K. Roos My husband and I escape winter each year by traveling south (usually foreign country) for 3 months or so. We take only one small suitcase each, so we cannot take weights. We bought the Aquabells this year and love them. It takes a little patience to fill them, but emptying is easy. Since we stay put for a month or so at a time, it's easy to fill them with water and use them over and over. If we just stay overnight, they are too much trouble to use. But they fit our exercise and travel patterns well. Glad we have them!

Too bulkySep 12, 2009
By Andrea Lowrey It is a great idea to pack to take with you but these weights are way to big for a small girl like me. I would only suggest them to certain people.

Great travel weightsMay 13, 2007
By J. Rohrer These are the perfect item for travelers who do not always have access to a weight room but want to continue their strength training routines while away from home. The water chambers fill up and empty easily and are practically weightless and take up virtually no extra space in luggage.
It takes a little bit of time to fill up all 8 chambers, but is much better than trying to lug around 60 pounds of weights along with standard luggage.
Great buy!
