Great Trolley for Sewing MachinesAug 18, 2007

I purchased this tote for my daughter to carry her sewing machine in to and from sewing class. I went back and forth between this model and the Ricardo Beverly Hills Beyond A Bag 16" Rolling Tote. I'm so glad I went with this one because the zipper expanse is slightly wider than the Richard Rolling Tote, which allows for easier access for her sewing machine. It's not 'padded' which does not accommodate real 'safety' for her machine, but for just trolling it around from point A to point B, it's great. Less expensive than actual sewing machine/craft machine trolleys, so it's definitely a winner. If you're considering it for a similar purpose then by all means- GET IT!

Works for me!Jun 04, 2008
By MollyDawg I bought the bag because it seems I have to walk a mile from our parking garage to my office. When you have to take in sodas or something, it turns into a real chore. Like the other reviewer, I was also debating between this one and the Ricardo. I actually like the opening of the Ricardo better--I wanted one that DOESN"T open all the way like a suitcase--but the Delsey has a detachable shoulder strap. I don't think I'll use it very often, but this will double for travel on the rare occasions I do, and you just need to have both hands free sometimes, or on larger trips, on hand for pulling the bigger suitcase. Luckily, it's a nice lightweight bag.
The only reason I don't give it a 5-star is because it doesn't have any organizer pockets. I know for that I should get a business case, but even as a travel case, I think a few smaller pockets in the front pouch would have been a good idea. Other than that, I'm perfectly happy.

Just wnat I needed.Jul 10, 2009
By ELS I bought this bag for a sea-land tour because we were told that during the train portion we would have limited carry-on space. They were right --and this bag measured up perfectly. Since then, I take this bag on every trip, overnight or lengthy, by car, plane, etc. It is great for a laptop and just about everything else. The collapsible (sp?) handle is a bit sticky, but otherwise the bag is great at a great price.

Not BadAug 23, 2007
By C. Koenig The handle is flimsy, and it does not provide as much space as other bags of this kind I've seen. It is lighter than other bags.
Just What I Liked; Not What She NeededJan 30, 2010

My sister saw one of the Delsey carry-ons that I bought and was quite delighted with. She said that she needed a slightly smaller one so I bought her the next size down as displayed on Amazon. Unfortunately, once she received it, she said that it was too small for her needs. She was looking for a kind of over-night bag that could double as a carry-on for her flying needs. The product that I bought was too small . . . more like a laptop or an oversized brief case than an overnight bag.
I have gotten Delsey luggage before and I have found the product line to be excellent. I still have most of elements of a Delsey line of luggage from 30 years ago, and they have been around the world more than a few times. Except for obvious mishandling by TSA, airlines' loaders or machines, they still do the job.
