This is the third piece of luggage of this serie (TravelPro Xtreme - Granite) that we have acquired. Two years ago we bought the Backpack and the 19" Rollaboard luggage. Considering the importance of the total weight of the luggages and the possibility of extra charges when overweighted, the lightness of the empty luggage is a priority. In addition, TravelPro products are very solid and waterproof. We had the opportunity to notice that last winter upon a stopover at Atlanta airport during a snowstorm. Our luggages were exposed to melting snow during a certain period of time and the content of the TravelPro rollaboard was completely dry while the content of another piece of luggages from another company was soaked.

Lightweight and durable, this bag was wonderful on our recent trip to Florida. Stuffed full of clothes, it only weighed 34 pounds, well under the 50 pound limit the airline requires now to avoid the $90 fee. I love the bright color too - it makes it easy recognized at the baggage claim.

We've only used it once, so far so good. Lots of pockets for stuff. Feels solid compared to our older stuff. Ours is blue, and with the bolder color scheme it's a breeze to find it at baggage claim. If I needed another suitcase this size I'd buy it again.

I bought this suitcase for my Dad for Christmas. He hasn't had the chance to use it yet, but I went on vacation to see my boyfriend and used the suitcase. It handled the journey really well. The outside got a little dirty but what can you expect? The expandable feature is really nice, I was able to fit my pillow and a few items purchased while I was visiting, back into the suitcase with ease. The lock is TSA approved and so I did not find the lock cut off or anything of that sort. Other than that, it held up well on the trip down and the trip back in cold, snowy icky weather. I would recomend this item to anyone looking for a good quality suitcase.
