Folding Foot Stool helps wtih long airplane flightsAug 26, 2007
By Pearly

I have a chronic back problem. I bought this folding foot rest, along with a couple of other products, to help make airplane flights more comfortable. I'm not a tall person and find that often I need to put my feet up on something. This footrest is pretty small -- barely big enough to put your two feet on, but it works adequately for the situation, enabling you to put your feet up on "something" while in-flight. It's lightweight and folds/unfolds easily. I would definitely recommend it and will never travel without it again! I would give it 5 stars if it was just a bit bigger.

Portable foot restAug 27, 2007
By Five feet tall This is a great thing for all of us shorties out there. I have two, one for the car (as a passenger) and one for work. I really like the way they fold flat and don't take up any space when not being used. They even slide into my purse.

What a relief!Sep 26, 2007
By Patricia Clonts The first time I used the foot rest, I experienced immediate relief on my lower back. I'm under 5' and find most chairs terribly uncomfortable, as I'm unable to place my feet solidly on the floor, but with this wonderful foot rest, this problem has been eliminated. I've used it at church, at restaurants, meetings and airplanes. Because it folds up to such a slim style, it's easy to carry anywhere. I could not be more pleased with this product.

The way sitting SHOULD feel!May 21, 2008
By J. Debelkadi Being of shorter stature, unless I have something like this, I am not properly aligned while sitting. I believe that it's probably the same for others, whose height measures roughly 5'4"/ 162 cm and under. Thigh length also makes a difference in how/if you would benefit from one of these-- if your knees do not go over the end of the couch/chair/bench etc., or if your feet can't lie flat on the ground while you're sitting back in a seat, then it would probably be really helpful. Some people might feel conspicuous using this little device --but when I use it, people -- without fail -- remark, thinking that it's the best thing they've seen, and where-can-they-get-one!
I would never go on a flight without using this. Never! It makes all the difference in the world to have this wonderful auto-aligner! My back hurts considerably less using the little footrest. As a matter of fact, when I know that I am going to be sitting anywhere for an extended length of time -- a friend's house, a class, a movie -- I regularly use it. I love its simplicity.
Comfort is important to me, and this is a prime supplier of it!
Try it, particularly if you're of shorter stature. You'll be surprised with the relief it gives. If you want to try something before buying this item, plan a time when you can sit for a while. Sit back, relaxed, in the couch or chair, with a pile of books beneath your feet. They can be covered with a paper towel to keep them clean, of course, and be anywhere between 4" - 7", whichever feels the best for you. Note the balanced restful feeling it gives.
To have this in a handy little construction as is this EWH Portable Foot Rest is great -- so easy to carry around.

PORTABLE FOOT RESTNov 24, 2007
By J. Yates I am short and have back problems, that bothers me especially on long airline flights. I just completed a trip to Europe and used the portable foot rest. It was wonderful. I had no back problems the entire trip. The foot rest could be a little wider, but it served it's purpose. It was a great buy. I highly recommend this purchase for anyone that has problems with their feet touching the floor on airlines or other places where you are forced to sit for long periods of time.
