It's worth it for your peace of mindMay 04, 2009
By Moxie Maven Recently I visited a country that's known for pickpockets. So I made sure to purchase items that will protect my property, but wasn't cumbersome. I bought the Digisafe 100 for my digital camera. I knew I would get tired slipping my camera in and out of my backpack and it was one of my best decisions to buy it! It's lightweight, but can't be cut off of me if I'm caught unaware. Yes, I looked like the typical tourist with a camera strapped around my neck, but at times I was wearing layers or a jacket and my camera was easily hidden that way.
Highly Recommended!

By Jeisonc8383 I've done lots of traveling, especially in countries high in minor street crime such as pickpocketing, slashing bags, and grabbing bags. The particular event that compelled me to buy this is when I two man team on a motorcycle grabbed my chest-shoulder bag while doing a drive by. The strap ripped and they almost got away for my bag. If you've been to Vietnam, Thailand, Southeast Asia, etc. or plan to go; let it be know motorcycles and scooter ride up sidewalks and in any direction they please (at least those who disregard traffic laws).Let me explain why this product isn't very praticle.
This product is made of a slash proof cord - yes. Well what if the person is strong enough to tug at it or grab at it while passing you on a motorcycle at a stop light, for example. If you look at the picture you will see that the strap is not a closed loop of wire coil within fabric. It's an open circuit for lack of a better word. I put this over my kneck and my my friend give it a good jerk. It opened right up and he had the strap and my camera in his hand. Then later I pressed the quick release button that allows items to be swapped (it comes with 2 "clips" so that the necklace can be used with a phone and camera. Or whatever you prefer). I casually pressed the quick release levers and one just cracked. It's made of cheap plastic. It still holds together with one lever but would you really trust this product that broke before it was ever used and has a major design flaw?
I don't know what a better product alternative is but don't waste the money on this.

I purchased this item for an upcoming trip to Europe. I have been using it for a couple weeks and it makes for a great camera strap. I like the ease of adjustment. I'll be leaving it on my camera even after the trip.

By MissDaisy I haven't used this strap yet, but it looks better than I imagined. I like that it's adjustable and sturdy. I can release the iPod without the strap. I'll use it for walking. Waiting for my iPod case to arrive. Good purchase.
