Works, if you understand what it is.Jan 24, 2009
By Joshua Thompson Be aware that this adapter will *not* directly accept a three-prong US plug. (It will accept a two-prong US plug). If you want to plug a three-prong US plug into an outlet in Switzerland, you need both this adapter and the US->Europe adapter: Grounded Europe Adapter - USA to Europe - CE Certified - Beige - Heavy Duty Adapter Plug

Travel adapter which works well in SwitzerlandNov 02, 2010
By Subbu My Swiss trip in Oct 2010 was once-in-a-lifetime kind. I wanted to take hundreds of pictures with my digital camera. I had US-usable 2-pin battery charger. Not wanting to take any chance, I purchased different kinds of adapter plugs people said were required in Switzerland. I tried this 3-pin adapter plug and it fitted into the plugpoints perfectly in each of the 7 places I visited on my conducted tour. I didn't have to even touch the other plugs I had bought. This itself was sufficient. Great buy!

MisleadingJul 22, 2010
By Dreamer815 The item does not show the other side of the plug. It is a universal adapter plug so it can directly accept US 3-Prong. I thought I needed to get a US to European then use the European to Swiss, but this plug alone is fine. This plug works fine for recessed Swiss plugs and is a very good deal.

It works and it's cheapSep 30, 2008
By J. C. Mitchell I used this to charge my computer and phone while in Zürich. It worked well and is about as cheap as you can find.
Works GreatAug 10, 2011
By John A. Hafner Swiss outlets are indented and the indent has kind of a hexagon shape. Usually, a Swiss plug has a plastic hexagon shape that fits into the indent. I was concerned that this plug wouldn't work because the plastic insert was shaped differently. When I got to Switzerland and plugged it in I discovered that it worked fine. It worked well with my wife's hair dryer.
