4Super-compact and light board!Nov 22, 2010
By Mircea Agapie
Most compact board I've ever seen! The magnetic pieces are flat enough that the board can fold with the pieces on, unlike most other boards with stand-up pieces. A minor complaint is that they should have used a dark shade for the black squares, instead of just making them matte, which makes them look lighter than the white squares - I'm taking away one star because of this. (Another reviewer had strong words about this, but it's not a big deal in my opinion. I just colored mine with a permanent marker.).
It's less than 1/2" thick when closed, it fits nicely in a purse or jacket pocket, for quick analysis when reading chess books in a bookstore :)

1Something is wrongAug 20, 2007

I did not buy this item but as I can see it in the picture, the board is flawed. On the right bottom corner the color of the square should be white. So u have to rotate the board and then it will be divided in half vertically. Whoever designed the board apperently doesnt know anything about chess :)
