I hoped it would be greatFeb 07, 2009
By P. Greenawalt Like some of the reviewers, I'm also short, 5'3" and have trouble sitting at business conferences. Usually at hotels, the chairs were designed for men. Too tall for me. So I bought one of these folding footrests. It made my handbag heavy. When it's already stuffed with the things you pick up at a conference, heavier isn't a plus. But most important, it was wobbly, especially on carpeted hotel floors. Instead of adding to my stability, I was clenching my back to keep my foot steady on top of it. Two feet on it was not good at all. For me, an error buy. But maybe that's just me.

Footrest saved the day!Nov 21, 2007
By Kristy S. Patterson I purchased this footrest to take to a 4-day conference. (Since I'm only five feet tall, I'm always uncomfortable when sitting for long periods because my feet don't touch the floor.) It worked great--it was small enough to fold and tuck into my bag, and yet big enough to provide a comfortable spot for my feet to rest when sitting. I highly recommend it.

Finally found a footrest!Oct 01, 2007
By BJennifer After many flights with back pain due to my toes just reaching the floor, I finally bought this foot rest. I had seen them online before and not wanted to spend that much on a foot rest. (Learn from my lesson: buy sooner rather than later and save yourself the back pain!) It's not really wide enough to keep both feet on all the time, but just elevating one is enough to keep the strain off my back. I use it under my desk when I'm not traveling.

Back reliefJan 09, 2008
By D. Juhl My daughter bought this stool for me through Amazon while I was visiting her in California. She knew the trip out from North Carolina had hurt my back (I am only 5 foot 4 inches tall) so this gift was a blessing on my trip home. NO BACK STRAIN. I also use it under my computer desk when I am writing. I have to elevate my chair to be at the proper height to write and not aggravate my neck and then I use the stool. While using the computer my chair is lowered to the proper height and the stool is unecessary. But when I am writing it is a real back and neck saver. What a gift!!!!!!!
