a MUST for caretakers of girls (and for all women!)Oct 07, 2011
By Writerin We all know that little boys can easily relieve themselves at the nearest bush, but for any mom or caretaker who has taken that dreaded walk deep into the woods ("someone still might see me!"), only to end up with your daughter or yourself covered in pee... this product is a lifesaver. The Travel John fits flush against her so there is no spatter, and the pouch inside absorbs so quickly that there is no splashback. It is also small enough that she can scoot forward on the car seat, with a sweatshirt over her lap, and no one is the wiser (even in a parking lot). The Travel John turns urine into a gel, and would last a few uses for a little girl, and 1-2 uses for a woman; however, I don't want to carry around a baggie half full of gelled urine. Therefore, after use, I tie it up in a diaper disposal bag (a pet waste bag would work just as discretely). Mommies / caretakers, keep one in every glove compartment, backpack/ sports bag, and your own bag. Women, put each in the bag in which you'd dispose it, and put each in a place where you might need it (see other reviews for ideas).

Great Product!Jul 30, 2009
By D. Nelson We go to a lot of events where everyone is tent camping in a small space. As the years go by, I find myself getting up at night more often. With this product I no longer need to jump up and down getting into clothes and shoes to run across the grass to the nearest port-a-pottie! I have one handy right in my tent!!

This product is perfect for over night trips on the train if you have a roomette (no toilet) or similar situation. Easy to use and dispose of. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a snap shut top like the Restop does. On the other hand, the Restop doesn't convert to nearly as solid a gel as the Travel John, which is a weakness on its part.

Must have for campingMay 17, 2011
By M. Marcinauskis These are the best things for those middle of the night " nature calls" I have used them several times in my 2 person tent with no problems. It is amazing how much they hold. I am camping this summer for a week with my son's Boy Scout Troop and wouldn't consider going with out them...

Very handy indeed!Nov 07, 2008
By Ms T Momma If you are pregnant, have small children, any that are potty training or just a long commute these are a life saver. They really hold quite a bit and do not leak. When you have one or maybe two little ones sleeping in the car and one person needs to go, these are the solution.
